The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music

EODS presents Rodgers & Hammerstein's hit musical: the famous story of the singing Von Trapp family, their new governess Maria and their daring escape to Switzerland.

Based on a true story, the Sound Of Music tells the tale of would-be nun Maria, sent by her convent to assist widower Captain Von Trapp with his seven children. Soon Maria is teaching them to sing, laugh & have fun - but war is coming & the Nazis have plans for the Von Trapp's Austria.

Packed with glorious songs like "Edelweiss", "My Favourite Things", "Do-Re-Mi", "16 Going On 17", "(What are we going to do about) Maria" plus some not featured in the movie version, this classic musical captures the romance & drama of growth & hope amid the gathering menace of World War II.

Follow the free-spirited Maria as she transforms the dour family's life to one filled with joy, laughter & music - learning to 'Climb Every Mountain... till you find your dream'.
