Strictly Not Mozart!

Strictly Not Mozart!

Three shows in one: Memorable 1950s numbers from the likes of Bill Hailey, Peggy Lee, Elvis & The Everly Brothers; A short comedy play "Last Tango in Little Grimley", in which a struggling Operatic Society aims to spice up its shows to survive; The song & dance hits of modern musicals from Chicago & Wicked to We Will Rock You & Guys'n'Dolls. --- The 50s Music starts the first half of the show with lively memorable numbers originally performed by The Everly Brothers, Connie Francis, Elvis, Cliff Richard, The Chordettes, Bill Hailey, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Peggy Lee’s sensuous rendition of Fever. This is immediately followed by a short comedy play. “Last Tango in Little Grimley”. Little Grimley Operatic Society is in a perilous state. The membership has dropped to four – and that includes the back stage crew. Audiences are little better. Much to the disgust of the ladies of the Society, the chairman decides that there is only one thing that will bring the audiences in and save them from financial disaster – SEX! Following the interval, the theatre will resonate to the songs and dance of Modern Musicals. Music from - We Will Rock You, Oliver, Joseph, Wicked, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Chicago, Cabaret, Hairspray, Mary Poppins and Les Miserables will complete the night’s entertainment.
