Life & Art in Paris in the Jazz Age: Crazy years!
After the Great War there was rejoicing in Paris: citizens threw caution to the winds and simply enjoyed the peace whilst it lasted. The lecture considers the lively Paris of the Jazz age with its eccentric personalities & American jazz musicians, along with the five major artistic movements of the time. Presented by Linda Collins, who has worked for the Historic Royal Palaces for 21 years, mainly at Hampton Court Palace. She is a freelance lecturer at Tate Modern and the National Gallery and has a special interest in French art.
