Leonardo da Vinci - Anatomical Form with Function
Leonardo da Vinci was not a physician, so why did he study human anatomy? He believed that good art was based on scientific understanding of everything depicted. He also subscribed to the microcosm hypothesis.
Guy Rooker comes to EDFAS not from the arts world but from the realm of science in general and surgery in particular. In this lecture he will explore the delineation of our anatomical knowledge through a world of art and specifically the remarkable contribution made to our understanding of the subject by Leonardo da Vinci.
