Folk in the Foyer:Johnny Coppin

Singer/songwriter and composer, Johnny Coppin began his career as a founder member of the folk band Decameron. Performing here as a solo artist, his performance offers music which is essentially English and always melodic and evocative. As a solo artist, Johnny has gone on to record over twelve albums including ‘Forest and Vale and High Blue Hill’, ‘Line of Blue’, ‘Edge of Day’ (a collaboration with Laurie Lee), 'Breaking The Silence' (with Mike Silver), ‘The Winding Stair’ and his very latest recording, ‘Borderland’.

Johnny also presents an Acoustic Music programme every Saturday at 5.30pm on BBC Radio Gloucestershire. “

"Arguably the clearest and most soothing male vocal in the world of British folk music"” - Folk Radio UK
