Folk in the Foyer: Jim Moray

Folk in the Foyer: Jim Moray

Multi-instrumentalist Jim Moray is at the forefront of a new movement in English traditional music. His debut album changed the sound of folk song (& won awards) with its innovative meld of orchestration & electronica. Since then his music has incorporated styles from grime to Johnny Marr-esque guitar pop - but always with Jim's unmistakeable soulful voice singing old songs in a new way. His sixth album Upcetera has received the best reviews of his career, including five stars from Mojo, fRoots & R2 magazines. He's also contributed songs to BBC Dr Who spin-off show Class & launched his own Low Culture Podcast.
