Fertiliser to Fine Art
This lecture surveys the art donations made by the philanthropist Alfred De Pass (1861 â 1952) whose generosity to the galleries and museums of the UK has enriched the nationâs artistic heritage but has mainly gone unrecognised. Catherine Wallace, formerly curator of Falmouth Art Gallery, highlights the paintings and drawings from the many collections on the receiving end of this extraordinary benefactor.
