Although Alessandro Botticelli is now one of the 15th century's best loved artists, he died in virtual obscurity. This illustrated talk by Shirley Smith will study his work within the context of his life and times.
Shirley Smith is an art historian specialising in the Italian & Northern Renaissance, lecturing at the University of East Anglia and the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education.
