Sun 1st at 10am - Volunteering Open Day (EAA)

Fancy helping to run a theatre?
Evesham Arts Centre needs more volunteers to help with its licensed bar, coffee/confectionery counter, box office, publicity & sound/lighting/backstage operations. If you'd like to support your local theatre, get some experience for your CV or just join a team of busy people - we'd like to hear from you!

Why not come & have a chat, take a backstage tour & sample some home-made cake? 10am-12 noon in the foyer.

Mon 2nd - Tue 3rd at 10am - Making Your Own Music Video (PQA)

Whether you love to write your own lyrics, play an instrument, sing or dance, this two-day holiday workshop will provide you with the opportunity to play a role in your first music video. Musicians will be able to join together and create their own bands, whilst actors and dancers can choose to create a video to a well-known track. You’ll receive a copy of your work to use as evidence of your performing arts experience when applying to college or drama school or, simply to proudly show family and friends.
Two-day workshop 10am-2pm 2nd & 3rd April. Places available to students age 8+ Exclusive to PQA members until the 17th March, after which any available places will be open to non-members. www.pqacademy.com

Author, architectural and social historian Ann Gore traces the development of English interior decoration over ten centuries in this illustrated talk.

Come & have a laugh with the cream of comedy-club comedians! This month's headline act is the legendary beast of comedy Chris Lynam - a seriously wild clown in a class of his own delivering slapstick of the most unpredictable and anarchic kind. ("Our most dangerous comic" - The Independent).  Chris will be supported by the gentler talents of softie Tom Toal and the fairly-musical Ashley Frieze. Young Jarred Hardy will be up from Bristol to take charge.

The AdamsJovi Experience makes a welcome return to the Arts Centre, paying tribute to two of the most successful bands of the 20 years; 'Bon Jovi'and 'Bryan Adams'. Fresh comedy talent props up the foyer bar!
Tonight's line-up includes Paul Cook & Graham Milton (not Alex Holland), Marc Burrows, Damien St John, Jonny Greatrex, Kahn Johnson & Nik Hill - with MC Will Marsh keeping everyone in line. A good laugh, a good atmosphere and good value! Poster.

It's Gilbert & Sullivan like you've never seen them before!
This update of The Mikado takes place in the mythical village of Titi-Pu, where a young trumpet player is on the run from his overeager fiancée and searching for the woman who stole his heart. This snappy adaptation of a classic operetta includes musical styles ranging from jazz to swing to gospel to blues - including a show-stopping homage to the Andrews Sisters.

Rosalind Whyte - guide & lecturer at Tate Britain & Tate Modern - looks at the life & work of William Hogarth, the great 17th Century painter, engraver, satirist & social commentator famous for works such as Gin Lane and The Rake's Progress.

Prince Henry's High School presents their version of this classic Broadway show. Story and characters by Damon Runyon, music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows (by kind permission of Josef Weinberger). Saturday night's performance will be a Gala show - smart dress/black tie is encouraged & a drink is included in the ticket price.
